School Site Council (SSC): SSC is a 10 member council responsible for reviewing Oliveira’s improvement plan and its effectiveness. If necessary, the council makes recommendations and modifications in the plan to reflect changes in the school’s goals, needs and priorities, the safety plan and other documents. SSC also helps to review budgets to ensure consistency with our Mission Statement, the LCAP and Education Code. The SSC is made up of FIVE STAFF members and FIVE PARENTS (plus three non -voting alternates). Parent members are nominated and elected by parents. If you are a member or alternate, your commitment includes a monthly meeting. SSC usually meets on the third Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m., for 1 hour. Members are elected to TWO-YEAR terms. For the 2015-2016 school year we will have two (2) openings for Parent members. If you are interested, please contact Principal Ian Squibb at: firstname.lastname@example.org, along with a brief biographical statement.
